Come here, sit beside
me,
rest yourself for
just awhile
speak with me of
pleasant things,
reasons that make
me smile
Shiny moonbeams
and polka dots,
objects that truly
delight me
small surprises
that catch my eye,
whimsical and flighty
Candles lit in
a darkened room,
to see by or just
for mood
verses read in
a lover's voice,
to my soul it acts
as food
Soft music brought
on a springtime breeze,
a joy it is to
hear
raindrops hitting
my window pane,
the air now fresh
and clear
A new born baby
at his mothers breast,
a young life has
begun
tears of joy on
his fathers face,
gazing upon his
tiny son
Butterflies, enmassed
in flight,
live confetti winging
by
fluffy cotton candy
clouds,
moving across a
summer sky
The setting sun
sinking slowly,
into a shimmering
golden sea
three words whispered
in my ear,
arms wrapped in
love around me
The crunch of leaves
beneath my feet,
as fall leads into
winter
snowflakes falling
gentle and white,
the world is now
a glitter
Warm flickering
flames in a fireplace,
enchanting to behold
mystical words
of a fairytale,
weaving dreams
as it is told
You're rested now,
I've shared with you,
a small part of
my heart
with thoughts of
moonbeams and polka dots,
we'll never be
far apart
