protective hands laid upon me, sleep with no fear...
the gentle caress of soft kisses upon my palms,
whispered words of passion against my ear...
 

Longing for the simple sounds of your breathing,
knowing your nearness protects me from the night...
bringing with it restful slumber, to spirit, to soul,
your arms so close, to hold me ever so tight...

Longing for quiet, soft beginning mornings,
first daylight slipping gently around us two...
sleepy eyes, tenderly smiling, as dawn awakens,
bringing with it, I love you, I need you...

Longing for my spirit, so lost, so alone,
forever remembering our shared days, love supreme...
knowing if I close these tearful eyes to sleep,
I can once again be with you in a dream...
